"Very kind staff but room was very tiny"

"The room is tiny. But par for urban Japan. The restaurant in the lobby is amazing. Staff was also amazing."

"Such a clean and beautiful hotel! I really enjoyed the rotenburo (open-air bath) on the top floor of the building. It was such a relaxing experience, especially after a long day."

"Wonderful staff, comfortable beds, delicious breakfast buffet that features local specialities (meibutsu) such as Nikko yuba in the chawan mushi, miso soup, local greens, etc. Property and bathrooms are a bit dated but our room was clean and well-maintained. Had free bottled water in fridge, slippers and bathrobes. Convenient location. Thanks to the helpful staff!"

"Great location for travel, near the bus and train station. Great for shopping and just a overall great experience. The staff were all super helpful and informative!"

"It is right across from the train station and the bus loops. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The room was warm even though we dropped the temperature as low as it could go. Everything else was great."

"Had a nice trip"

"Very excellent breakfast!"

"We had a Western style room on the 4th floor which had a balcony with beautiful views. The beds were comfortable. The onsen was small but very clean and relaxing. Breakfast was varied, lots to chose from both western and Japanese. We were welcomed by friendly staff."
