"This lodge is magical. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful break this lodge has got everything. Built with passion and love. It’s quirky and you don’t need for anything. About a 6 min walk to the local shops pubs and restaurants. Paul and Jude were fantastic hosts. Aim to please . "

"Had a lovely stay in the Owl's Roost.
The hosts were so kind and couldn't have been more helpful. It was so peaceful being surrounded by fields. The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated, and the bed was comfy! We will be returning again in the future."

"An absolutely incredible place to stay, with gorgeous river views and even a lake. We stayed in a barrel which was so comfortable, I really did not want to get out of bed!
The owner and others on the farm are kind, warming and helpful, and are clearly working hard to build an amazing space.
I just wish I could have stayed longer!"

"The yurt was very comfortable and warm. The wood burner provides an ample heat and there was a good supply of wood. The bed was comfortable. Parking is simple and close by. The yurt is very much off grid. The cooker works well with bottled gas. There is no running water. To take a shower involves boiling a giant kettle and carrying the water to the wooden outbuilding and mixing with cold rain water then using a solar powered shower pump. Was impressed that you can shower with surprisingly little...

"Staff were very helpful, layout and decor is modern. Room was very clean and air conditioning was excellent.
Breakfast was quite average. No extras such as poached eggs were available - only scrambled egg and hard boiled eggs. Buffet style so items are not that hot. Waffle maker is good but needed a clean and ran out of batter."
"The hotel was modern , new and immaculately clean , we booked dinner bed and breakfast and a 3 course evening meal was included which made it good value .
Our only negative would be the hot breakfast items were not very hot , they were under hot lamps but obviously this was not effective enough to keep it very hot ."
"This was a lovely Hotel breakfast was great Full English or Continental or you could ask for other things EG I had poached eggs on English Muffin which was lovely. We also
had two evening meals which were just as enjoyable Really enjoyed our stay.
The only thing I was disappointed with was the price of parking £15 a day was very steep especially being a quest at the hotel and having a disabled husband not being able to take advantage of free disability parking for our entire stay with on street parking which we have on other stay's in Torquay as couldn't drop him and luggage
off and leave him maybe for quest's with disabilities
there could be some sort of concession Other wise we really enjoyed our stay"
"Our room overall was clean but the bathroom was very dusty and the towel rail needed a good wash.
The dining room needed a deep clean, the chairs had ingrained food in crevices and the white plastic walling was grubby, there is a draped ceiling and the cloth is seriously dirty.
The breakfast was good and plentiful with proper orange juice.
We didn’t use the pool but went down and took a look and it looked nice but the doors leading down to it all needed a good clean"
