"i had a great stay at this place since it was only for two nights. the staffs were helpful, accommodating, the lobby was spacious to chill, talk with your friends, and i loved how it was in the SOHO area.
nonetheless, if you are only staying for 1-2 nights, and a solo, this would be ideal for you. again, you only get a pod - your nest which is a small private room. additionally, there are not many amenities included in your stay, e.g., microwave, fridge, but they have towel, good wifi, and AC.
overall, i had a great stay and sleep."
"The property is in a good neighborhood, easy to get to, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was very good, especially the bed and the amenities"
"This is a good hotel. We were looking for something centrally located, clean and comfortable. If that is what you are looking for, this hotel will work.
Bloomsberry is a good location, close to The British Museum (15 minute walk) and West End theatres (about 20 minute walk). Two tube stations are a short walk away, although not necessarily the most convenient stations in terms of transfers. Russel Square Station (Picadilly line only) and Holborn Station (Picadilly and Central lines - Picadilly line serves Heathrow airport) are both "around the block" from The President . Next time I go to London I will consider staying closer to a different tube station. One with more lines/transfers.
The President hotel is about a 15 minute walk to King Cross Saint Pancras (Eurostar train to Paris, Amsterdam…).
Now... if you visit during summer, please bear in mind that NONE of the rooms at the President Hotel have air conditioning. They do have oscillating fans and the windows open "just enough" so you can get some air circulating at night.
As an American traveler, I guess I am spoiled and didn't even occur to me to check for A/C before booking. So, do yourself a favor and check the average temperatures for the time of your visit and book accordingly!
The breakfast served at the President is very good and priced very reasonably compared to the restaurants near by. I regret not booking the room with breakfast included."
"Loved our stay! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly (shout out to Siobhan at the front desk!). We opted for the included breakfast which was delicious (eggs, bacon, sausage, croissants, fruit, beans, coffee, tea, juice). The beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. We did travel during the heatwave and the lack of air conditioning in the room was tough to sleep in but the provided fan and requested fridge in the room helped us cool down. The location is excellent and easily accessible via walking and transit. Our room faced the road and while there was some noise from the windows being open, it wasn’t anything unusual for us coming from another major city (except for when England won one of their World Cup games - that was loud and exciting!). We would definitely stay here again when we return to London in the future!"
"Good hotel but:
It was during the heat wave in July and even if the AC was set to minimum the room was still warm. A ventilator was already in my room and it helped but would have slept faster and better if I was able to get the room to be cooler.
2nd negatives is the gym which has only cardio, no free weight, bench or weight machine.
Rest is A-1"
