"My stay at Aaron's Cottage was good, they left detailed instructions on how to self check-in once I arrived. The property itself is close to a beach in the back, close to downtown Hilo, some tourist attractions and restaurants that can be easily accessed with a car. "We checked in on the 1st of December and arrived around 8 p.m. Our keys and packet were waiting for us at the kiosk with no issues. Our room was amazing—quiet, convenient, and clean. The property was clean as well. We messaged for room service, and they came with no issues. Extra amenities were available in the lobby too. We were there for six nights, and I will definitely be staying again. I would recommend checking in before dark—the road is kind of tricky to find."

"This is a fantastic spot if you’re spending time at Volcanoes National Park. Shannon and her husband were great hosts. The room was very nice and had a water fall feature that really added to the ambiance and enhanced our experience there. They had e-bikes available that gave us a unique experience in the park. Wish we had spent 2 nights. "

"We loved our time at Reeds Bay Hotel. We got an ocean view which helped to keep it comfortable at night considering there is no air conditioning, as most in Hawaii do not have or use air conditioning. We slept well and the staff were all very warm and welcoming. Banyan Drive is beautiful and places you close to all things you would want to do and see in Hilo."

"VFI is very close to Volcano National Park and it was the main reason why we chose to stay here. The house is nestled in the rainforest with a short drive from the main road so its very quiet. Our room is spacious with many windows facing the rainforest and a big patio. Our room is comfortable and pleasant. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed it very much. The host, Jon, is also a very nice guy and approachable. Breakfast is a grab and go and has plenty of fresh fruits which is a bonus! "
