1. Mont Rochelle Hotel & Vineyard

Franschhoek

"The setting of the hotel is lovely with great views in every direction. The property is more homely than high quality and although the people serving were lovely, it lacked the quality and finesse that we have seen elsewhere in SA eg Lanzerac and Raddisson Cape Town. The service at dinner was warm and welcoming but the foot was ordinary. The rare steak I ordered was medium to well done. I’d suggest the property is due for a refurbishment as in places our room looked tired. Location 5 stars;...

Top Franschhoek Wine Route Hotel Reviews

Plumwood Boutique Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We loved our boutique room with huge bathroom and veranda overlooking the lavendar and pool. The bathroom was quite large with a separate room for toilet and bidet, large 2 person soaker tub and shower room. The bedroom was also quite large and luxurious. The air smells like jasmine and there are nice views towards the mountains. Each unit has a secure parking stall and a remote for opening the gate. The hotel is walking distance to the restaurants and shops of Franschhoek. We dined at Reubens and would highly recommend it to others."

Chapter House Boutique Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Chapter House was perfect for what we wanted to do In Franschhoek. It was quiet, clean and the staff were very friendly. Well located near the high street too so a very short walk in. Accessible to vineyards too!"

Franschhoek Boutique Hotel

"Very friendly and helpful staff in an excellent location, minor points a second chair in the room would be useful and the sink is quite small. But overall enjoyable and Peter and Storm are lovely."

Franschhoek Country House and Villas

10/10 Excellent

"If you are in Franschhoek highly recommend this property which is very central and very close to all the cafe and restaurants and shopping, they provide shuttle to the tram train. The staff were wonderful and super helpful! We had an amazing time. I have been to 30 countries and the staff from this hotel went beyond my expectations."

The Ivy Apartments

8/10 Good

"The apartment at The Ivy is a wonderful "home away from home" . The location is perfect as it is on the main road where you can shop, eat & browse. The apartment is serviced every day & the staff are unobtrusive , giving you time to laze around in the morning before they come. This property would probably have earned 5 stars , if not for 2 minor downfalls : 1. There are no flat/top sheets on the beds. Given the heat of Franschhoek, it would be great to have the option of only covering oneself with a sheet; 2. The apartment which we had stayed in window blinds are not easy to open & close. The one blind to the balcony couldn't close & the light from the signage outside "The Ivy" shines rights into the Main bedroom. I think that even with the blinds closed, it would still shine through. Overall though, this a fantastic property choice for a weekend away or even for tourists. It is tastefully furnished & the owners have definitely thought of almost everything ."
