Having seen some other people’s reviews, I think you need to bear in mind that this is a building which is more than 100 years old, and it has been updated to a very comfortable and pleasant experience. "Fantastic views over Newcastle and South Newcastle beaches. Check in/out was smooth and the staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was provided at no extra cost. The rooms are extremely well maintained and serviced. Was the second time in 2 weeks we’ve stayed there. The property is close to restaurants along the Harbourside. "

"This was my second stay. The accommodation is basic but clean. Anita remembered me from my previous stay. Anita is very welcoming and friendly. Anita everytime she sees you asks if you need anything which was lovely. Its within walking distance to Coles and eateries."

"All the staff were very accommodating. We had a lovely big renovated room with twin beds. The outdoor spa in the pool area is warm enough to use going into winter. Lovely fresh breakfast. There are currently renovations/construction noise, but we were out and about most of it anyhow."
