We didn’t want to drive again we wanted to eat and relax after a day of travel. As there wasn’t an alternative we didn’t go to the pub where the main course was fine but not what we wanted. Had we been informed that dinner wasn’t available we would have booked elsewhere."

"First of all, the room was silent, which is a huge positive. Really quiet and peaceful. The ‘king size’ bed is an insult to customers intelligence. Pushing two single beds together and calling it a king size should be criminalised. Properties like this are charging premium prices for facilities, and then providing some hashed excuse which barely ticks the boxes. The internet access is generous and works well. Parking is confusing. Do you pay or not? The shower head was broken and both the bath...

"Lovely inn in a lovely village conveniently located to major towns and linked with a good railway line. Friendly folk run the hotel and a reasonably good selection of beers. Stayed here before and if in the area would stay here again. Only thing to be aware of is that some nights there are special events (quiz night) which may affect the availability of food or change restaurant times."

"I cannot speak highly enough of this Hotel. Our stay was enhanced by the ambience, the welcome we received and the service was exceptional.
