The cottage was spotless and lovely and warm and there was everything you could need for a longer stay . The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. "We can’t rate this hotel as when arrived wet, hungry and tired after a 22 mile walk the Old Hall Inn was CLOSED FOR BUSINESS and has been since January 2025!! We booked this last October 2024 but no one thought to let us know We are really not impressed with the service Then to add insult to injury Hotels.com asked us to review our non-existent stay We have yet to hear from Hotels.com with an explanation or at the very least an apology "
