"I thought the floors could be cleaner - kind of dusty/dirty but sheets/towels/bath/beds seemed clean. Just basic sleep and go."

"We had high expectations for this hotel, as it carries the Marriott name. The king room suites were very spacious. But the bathroom was unacceptably small. We were also given a room with two queens for one night, but the king is much, much nicer. There is coffee in the rooms, which is acceptable. There is no complimentary breakfast, which is a surprising disappointment. And, an average breakfast was available to purchase, but was too expensive, and not worth it. The bathrooms in the lobby are a mile away from the front desk. And, there were never any luggage carts available. There is a parking garage with very nice pay-to-park parking and a short walk. But they did validate our parking, which we appreciated. However, the other guests at the hotel during our stay were of a very low-class type of person. And, we found that this said a lot about the hotel. All in all, this was an affordable choice for us, as we were just passing through Utica. We ate at Demarco’s Italian Steakhouse, and it was very nice."

"Upon arrival the front desk man was not welcoming, he was dismissive and pushy. I simply explained to him I had never experienced that and verbalized feeling he was coming off aggressive. I got my room key and just didn’t talk to any one there until check out. I was put in a room right next to the loud ice machine and so much random noises. The fridge in my room also barely worked and the microwave was dirty. I saw dog hair on the shower walls. And my tub looked very worn and permanent stained."

"I reserved a room in April for June 6 and 7. We get the 15 minutes after check in time and told there are no rooms. I told the lady I had a reservation and she says "no room". We did this a few times figuring she thought I was looking to book. Getting frustrated, I went back to my car to show her the reservation confirmation. That's when I see an email from Expedia saying they can't accommodate me. The email was sent about 20 minutes before check in time. This is the second year in a row Jeannie's has stiffed us on our reserved room. We'll never be back. We went to town looking for where else we could say and they told us we don't want to stay at Jeannie's because the new owner rents to people just out of jail etc and there's a drug problem at the motel. Very disappointing. When Jeannie owned it, it was a nice motel. Not anymore."
