"Overall a great experience, the staff were extremely helpful and polite. First morning no fruit or yogurt at breakfast and second morning got our breakfasts completely wrong. The room was really nice and the bed very comfortable, I would definitely stay again."

"Great location, free parking and easy walk up to the small town centre and surrounding countryside. Staff were very helpful. Nice old property but a little dull sometimes and lacked character. Clean though. There were issues with water pressure, effecting showers etc. this was explained on arrival, so was not a surprise. Breakfast was unexciting and just ‘okay’ with overcooked scrambled eggs, dry bacon and a pot of beans that was more juice than beans. A comfortable stay despite the quibbles."

"All clean and ready, but I woke up freezing and had to double up my duvet. The fire light was also very bright and I found it hard to get to sleep and to get to sleep again. "

"Lovely location and hotel. Spa pretty busy so hard to use facilities or find somewhere to really relax. Restaurant is fine but vegetarian options very limited. A mini bar/fridge in room would be nice. My the time we went to have tea in the morning the milk on the countertop was warm and a bit spoilt. "

"Nice clean place, staff very friendly, if a little under staffed, could do with additional staff in my opinion, but the staff I encountered remained positive and very helpful. atmosphere is good, the food was good, all in all I had a pleasant stay. If leaving before the main pub entrance is open, the route out to the car park could do that lighting, it’s very dark exiting via that route. "

"Toilet did not work upon arrival. A simple check prior to releasing the room would have avoided the problem. Beware of additional spa charges. I booked the room so my disabled partner could swim. However the charges were listed below where I had to select my chosen room type. By below, I mean below ALL the other room types. So despite sellinn you the spa dream, they drip feed additional charges. They also charge you 5 GBP per person for room service. Very disappointing for my wife and hard to...
