TENDER LOVING CARE
HOTEL STAFF GREAT WHO RECTIFIED THE PROBLEMS THEY COULD PROMPTLY AND REWARDED WITH FLOWERS FOR THEIR SERVICE.
WHITE TOWELS WERE GREY IN COLOR, STAINED, THIN AND FRAYED WHILE SHEETS WERE TORN AND MATTRESS NEEDED REPLACING.
SHOWER CURTAIN WAS FILTHY AND SHOWER HEAD NEEDED FIXING WITH NO BATH PLUG.
KETTLE NEEDED REPLACING AND HAD TO BE BOILED ON THE FLOOR AS THERE WAS ONLY ONE ACCESSIBLE POWER OUTLET IN ROOM WITH NONE IN BATHROOM AND FREEZER NEEDED DEFROSTING.
WALL PAPER TORN AND STAINED.
THE ROOM ITSELF WAS LARGE AND IN WALKING DISTANCE HOWEVER THE AIRCON WAS NOISY AND BALCONY NEEDED CLEANING.
I liked this small, charming hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and quiet, The location, close to Binh Tay market is excellent. You also have the War Remnant Museum and Reunification Palace within walking distance. The next time I go to Saigon, I will stay here.
was nice but wi-fi signal is little weak.
i especially liked the yogurt they made.

You get for what you pay
Great location, ok breakfast, good staff (best feature), great bed and pillows, but a pity we went two days without soap and one day without toilet paper. Also toilet and air condition leaked a LOT of water, although the former was fixed immediately. These issues make the difference between an excellent hotel and an average hotel. My partner did not like the hotel, I did not mind it, so lucky I did the review.

Average hotel with a good location
The room is clean, but was a little run down, in particular the bathroom, although it showed traces of some recent refurbishment.
The service is good, and also the location, very convenient because close to the central market and many restaurants.
Location of the hotel is good. Staffs are friendly. The room is big and with bathtub but there was no coffee and tea provided in the room but two drinking water are provided. Location is good but there are many hotel around the area that i felt more valve for money. Breakfast is very normal but most of the food was not ready for my early check out at 6:30am.

Still sick from room
I picked this place because of online promo. Neat little hotel in a good location to everything. My room was good size and had old colonial feel to it. The breakfast was good, enough to get you out the door to start the day. BUT, the room was suspect when I checked in. Not very clean, a lot of dust and the wallpaper dirty and looked to have mold under it. I woke up very early in the morning with the worst sore throat I have ever had. I'm someone who rarely gets sick and I had been in HCMC for days already before checking here with no problems.
Still sick from it. Too bad because good location and neat room.
I checked into their deluxe room, which was advertised as 28 m². As soon as I entered the room, the size did not feel right. I went down to reception to see if they gave me the wrong room. They insisted it was the room that I booked. I said the room size is not right. The reception showed me a brochure that said my room was 28 square meters. I said let's go measure the room together. After we measured it, the actual size, was only about 18 square meters or less, I don't remember the exact size, I think and the manager gave me a three dollar refund. I just checked their room sizes and the deluxe room is still listed as 28 square meters. If you book this room, just keep in mind that the size is not correct.

Little Saigon
The check-in at the hotel was quick and easy. The staff at this hotel are welcoming. We were given our internet-booked "superior" room which didn't have a window. Had I known there was no window I would never have booked it. When I went downstairs to see if I could get a windowed room the girl upgraded us. What the 'superior" room is superior to I don't know as it seems to be their bottom room.
This hotel is okay. It is not expensive, but it is a little rundown.
The rooms were well sized, clean and comfortable. The beds were big enough (I'm tall), the hotel staff were helpful and the service was excellent. We had the breakfast option and the food was good too. It's in a central location so we were in walking distance of all of the main attractions in Saigon.

A little run down but good location
Location is very good for doing sight-seeing by foot - 10-15 min walk to Dong Khoi Street, Saigon Opera House, and from there a few minutes more to Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral. Reasonable taxi fares from hotel to malls like VinCom. Hotel surrounded by restaurants so that's a plus.
Hotel room we got a little run down but clean. No safe in rooms.

Value for Money (after 50% discount)
Acceptable condition for the price (after 50% discount, i.e. about RM125 per night. Close to Ben Thanh Market & Halal Restaurants.
The location is great. Staff lovely. Bed comfy and good pillows. Air con worked. Had hot water. Towels white and fluffy. Overall was great except...I chose the hotel based on a previous review that said the make your own pho for breakfast was great...hmmm...if you call pouring a watery stock on 2 min noodles pho then??? It wasn't a big problem, we went to a few of the many places close by and had excellent pho.

Excellent location very close to attractions
The hotel is excellently situated near Ben Tanh market, night markets, War Remnants museum, Independence Palace etc. Also walking distance to some of the more highly rated cafes/restaurants in HCMC. Short cab ride to Bitexco Financial Tower / Sky Deck (you can walk it ~ 1 km, except I was there in April and the weather was extremely hot).
The hotel itself is as basic as it gets: a room with a bed and bathroom. The WC in my room had trouble draining properly; same for the wash basin. The shower produced either VERY hot water or cold, alternating every few seconds regardless of how I adjusted the taps.
The hotel breakfast is also pretty simple. Some bread for toasting, Vietnamese loaf, a couple of hot dishes (bacon, sausages), coffee and tea, juice, fruits.
On the plus side, the aircon in my room worked well, and the facility is generally clean - no bugs or anything. The staff are also friendly and helpful.
If you are looking for a place just to sleep in between excursions to the various sights, this hotel is fine. The location is good. That being said, the entire area around Ben Tanh is full of other hotels of roughly the same quality, and there are a few hotels of mid to high quality as well.
The hotel is situated about 3 mins walk to Ben Thanh Market near to the Malay Street. The room is of reasonable size consider the price. The room I had does not have any window. The bathroom is spacious, however, the water pressure seems a bit inconsistent. The towel also could have smelled better. There is not a safe inside the room. The bed is very comfortable though. The best I like about the hotel is the friendly staffs who will not fail to greet you everything they see you.
