"Nice hotel in a beautiful location on the edge of the market square in Masham. The staff were really friendly and our room was good, it's a shame the bar closes early, we were up there for a gig at the Town Hall and wanted a drink afterwards with our friends, luckily the Bruce Arms were very accommodating. A nice place to stay, a shame there were no biscuits in the rooms for your afternoon cuppa though."

"We had a good stay at the Yorkshire overall. The room was quite hot and the fan was not sufficient at times however the bed was comfortable and the amenities OK. The room is a little dated but nothing disturbing. The parking situation can be a little frustating but we had no major issues."

"Very comfortable beds. Good standard budget hotel.. Little traffic noise with window closed. Decent breakfast.Dog Friendly. Tip for dog owners...behind the hotel there is a grassed area. In the corner you'll find a path through the bushes. It leads to open countryside where you can give your dog a decent walk off the lead."

"Beautiful room and good location- parking was a bit of a faff as I was told I was almost about to be blocked in with a bollard upon checking in - not the best of welcomes when I’m spending several hundred pounds for a room for the night. £15 parking charge was also steep given the price of a room (which was beautiful)"

"We arrived at the hotel to drop our bags off before check in time. There was only one staff on the front desk had to wait a while as there more customers waiting. No one came to help. On the actual check in was smooth. Room was on the 3rd floor. Twin room premier was spacious and clean. A good touch is Yorkshire tea in the room. Our first night we discovered that our pillows were old and uncomfortable & so I ended with neck ache. We asked the next morning and were given better ones. The breakfast was included in our price. On arrival on the first morning we were taken to a table by the supervisor. This was good as it was busy. There was plenty of choice, fresh fruits. Hot buffet of English breakfast. Even had poached eggs which were perfect. You can order other items off the menu. Restaurant staff cleared the tables quickly. Would recommend breakfast. The next morning breakfast was busy again, however we’re were left to look for a table. This wasn’t easy as we had to walk around searching, so more difficult for some older people, There is scaffolding up at the moment outside the front however doesn’t impact the hotel inside. It’s my second visit to this hotel and I would recommended it."

"Great location in the centre of Harrogate. My room was large and clean. Pillows were too hard, though. I had an issue with one of the beds and the gentleman on reception in the evening was very helpful and friendly. I had reserved a parking space (£15pn), which is a good job as it was full. Breakfast was very average. I would consider staying here again if the price was right."
