"We couldn't find the hotel. The street name wasn't recognised by the satnav. Neither was the postcode. We rang them for instructions and the person we spoke to was quite rude. When we arrived, the person who greeted us was also very rude. The room was very sparse. NOTHING like the pictures. The towels provided were tiny and one was stained. The hand-wash was watered down so much it could hardly be called soap. Bedding was very worn and the sheet had blood on it. If it hadn't been nonrefundable, we would have cancelled the booking. "

"I had two rooms booked - a twin for one person and a superior double. Both excellent. Gripe for the superior was about a half an hour to run a bath and no Wi-Fi :( possibly due to location at the back of the hotel. We were there for a family 90 th nearby so it was a great opportunity to stay. Accrington was £6 in an uber. Disappointing though to have to pay a tenner if you want to use the pool :( gym free mind. Overall though a great hotel and thanks for the late bar. Our tariff was RO so didn’t try brekky but a very decent stay in this area. Our room was cool despite hot weather so that was good though the windows did open and not too darn the ground floor to be unsafe so defo a dec place to stay thanks. "

"Our first impresdion of the reception area was WOW. Beautiful venue with breathtaking grounds. Lovely sun terraces and fantastic restaurant with amazing food. Would recommend. We had an evening meal which was superb and Breakfast was great too. Spa area small but nice enough for a relaxing dip in the pool and steam room, sauna and very small gym but enough for me. My only disappointment was that our room was a club room and accessed via a path to an annexe which did not have the same WOW factor as the main building. The room was very big with large bathroom, large lounge with couch and separate dressing area which was a nice touch and although it had been decorated recently and clean i just had the feeling that it was a bit tired. The furniture was old and the bathroom was very tired and needs to be fully updated. Bed was very soft and bouncy but slept ok. Just loved the place and sad the room was not so first class as the rest of the hotel. Having said that it was acceptable for what we paid."
