4/5 - Good
Great location for Golden Circle trips and easy to find with plenty of eating options from simple pizzas to fine dining. Lovely walks available.

The rooms were lovely, the food hall and communal spaces were all very nice. The breakfast was pretty good, we just needed to ask if anything needed topping up after a busy morning rush, but the staff were always helpful and happy to do so!

The room was amazing! We had a great time. Very clean, spacious, and had everything to be able to stay in for the night and make our own meal!

The Geothermal springs are great but the town is small and you need a car to get around - We went in December you need a 4 wheel drive as the roads are icy.
Great location if you want to do the golden circle. Our trip was 3 days, so we spent one day in Reykjavik exploring, the following day we decided to do the shorter golden circle version (roughly 3 hours) Definitely have a car!
Very picturesque, up and coming village. An absolute must see! Local food was amazing and well priced in a very expensive country.
We had dinner at Skyrgerdin which was brilliant. Tip is to book as we went on a Wednesday end of March 2019 for two and the restaurant was busy. We also went for dinner at Ingolfsskali Viking Restaurant which was amazing, book as it is worth it!
