"Biggest issue was location. Like staying in an airport for a weekend. They're fully aware you're trapped. Bring $$$$$ for mid food and drinks. The boardwalk hotels are much better, it's not even close."

"The front desk girl was not very friendly. Acted like she didn’t want to wait on anyone. That I was an inconvenience to her. Then got to the room which was very hot 77degrees hot. I thought it was because we just got there but nope it remained hot. Called the front desk and was told they would send maintenance, yeah right they never came. It remained 75 in my room and I will not return. It’s a shame cause it was a half decent hotel. Nice pool and very quiet hotel."

"My stay at the Showboat was a mixed experience. The room itself was amazing, I had a beautiful ocean view, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean and relaxing. The location is also great, especially being right on the boardwalk. However, the property feels very outdated and it seems like management has not kept up with maintaining many of the attractions. During my stay, the water park was closed, the dark ride was closed, the laser tag and Nerf Wars areas were unavailable, and several arcade games were missing balls or parts and were not working properly. The Showboat has so much potential, but management needs to put more effort into maintaining the attractions and making sure everything is operational. It’s disappointing to advertise so many family activities when a lot of them are closed or not fully functioning. Overall, I loved the room and the ocean view, but the resort needs better upkeep and attention to detail. I would come back, but I hope to see major improvements."
