"We enjoyed our stay, but you should know what this is and is NOT. This is NOT a resort or a boutique hotel. This is an old, conveniently located, modestly priced hotel where you will be well taken care of while you explore Kauai. The staff are friendly, there is gear you can borrow, and you can supplement the continental breakfast by shopping and using the fridge/microwave. There is even enough hot water to fill the LARGE bathtub. We wished the air conditioner was quieter, and it's not the hotel's fault that the people in the park across the street were fighting one morning. Just get in your car, get out of Lihue to see this amazing island, and rest up in a nice room in between adventures."
"No area to clean up on day we flew out. No showers or facilities to change. Never seen this in a Hawaiian resort as flights generallat night.
TV and internet kept droppin"
"Rooms were spotless upon entry and towel services were available daily with a room cleaning every three days or halfway through your stay. The staff was very kind and extremely helpful with anything you may need. From finding things to do in island, to helping you obtain rentals and beach equipment. Full-sized Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need to cook during your stay with a two grocery stores in walking distance. The rooms had stunning ocean views and you could fall asleep to the ocean waves hitting the cove.
I will definitely go again."
"all was excellent as noted with t he exception of checkin. our room was not ready and it would have been more excellent customer service to have been 0ffered a bit of compensation."
"Check in process needs improved. Room should have been ready at 3 but it wasn't. So after 4 I asked again and they were able to put us in a different room (same type) that was ready. I'm not sure why they didn't do this in the first place. Also, right at prime check in time between 3-4 pm, 2 out of the 3 front desk workers left/went on break leaving Grace alone. This happened on both check in day and check out day which are the only two times I went to the front desk. She kept a smile among the very long line. I felt bad for her. Also there was a lot of garbage and towels left by the pool area unfortunately from messy guests. One day, the workers went home and plates of food were just left at the pool chairs and never picked up. I picked up trash around the pool area hoping it would not blow into the ocean.
Overall, the property is very nice and I would stay there again, but definitely pack your patience for the front desk and don't expect your room to be ready on time."
"The property was very clean the staff was amazing. Behind the property there was a wonderful walk to the ocean. There was plenty of food options nearby a gas station a grocery store and local options. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here."
"We really loved our stay here. Smaller resort but we liked how it was a bit smaller. Beautiful view of the ocean, AMAZING food. Loved the bar, restaurant and the spa. Would highly recommend."
