"Our room was a good size with a big bathroom and a comfy bed. The staff were super friendly and the bar and restaurant were nice, with great food. Had a lovely stay and plan on going back."

"Heather the manager was very friendly and welcoming. We got our drinks at the bar and confirmed our stay and we had a lovely evening meal. The room was spacious and comfortable with a shower and bath.It was very quiet.Breakfast in the morning was great and heather made us feel so at home. Definitely would recommend a stay."

"Single occupancy for two nights - small room, but clean, good shower & comfortable bed. Food (smoked salmon & scrambled eggs for breakfast and Cajun chicken salad in the evening) was excellent and portions were generous. Staff friendly and efficient. All for a very reasonable price. Great location to explore Lake Windermere."

"Great hotel, room was clean, modern and had everything we needed. The view from the room was lovely and the beer garden by the river was a pleasant surprise! The staff was kind and polite and the food was delicious and plenty. Just one thing that would be more of a recommendation than a critique - I would suggest the breakfast offers other meat options alongside pork."

"Food was freshly cooked and delicious. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and efficient. We had an enjoyable and relaxing stay - we even stayed an extra night."

"Lovely room, spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed Nice size bathroom with complimentary soaps, shampoos etc All rooms on first floor so could be an issue if you have mobility problems Royal hotel bar/ restaurant quite busy so would recommend booking if you want to dine in. Food quality was excellent and a great service given.
