I asked the man on reception if it was ok for my 16 year old son to come into the bar with me to watch the live band- he was very stern and said he would turn a blind eye and my son would not be allowed alcohol and that they would be ‘watching’!! I wouldn’t allow my son to drink alcohol, I just wanted him to be able to watch the live band (who were very entertaining!) so I was surprised to see the bar had lots of children running around after 9pm! "Very clean and comfortable place to stay in the small village of Kinvara. Worked great as a base to explore the Wild Atlantic Way. Located strategically between the City of Galway and the Cliffs of Moher. Friendly staff, nice continental breakfast. Would stay there again if I were in the area."

"Room was nice and clean. Great location from the beach. My issue was with the kitchen staff. I went in and waited to get served for coffee and some food and waited 30-40mins without being assisted at all. A family came after me to a table near me and they had their order taken and food served and i was still sitting there. It was not a nice experience. I left to the lobby where i can be ignored intentionally."

"Breakfast was next level awesome-- my parents wanted to experience the "full Irish breakfast" before leaving Ireland and the Lady Gregory solidly came through! Each was pleased b/c they had traditional and even a vegan full Irish! Also, we ordered dinner from the restaurant and the food was incredible. Even had the specific whiskey my husband was looking for."

"The front desk staff is wonderful, particularly Shawn who carried my two heavy suitcases all the way to my room, and Cian who fetched two water bottles for us as we were leaving because we’d slept through breakfast and my daughter was thirsty. "The bar and atmosphere were amazing! This hotel was super busy with tour buses and big groups coming through. The food is great and the service excellent! The building is old and needs updated badly. The room showed signs of being very old and not professionally maintained. Faucets leaked, carpet old, bathroom tub left a lot to be desired. Overall I would stay there again, very family friendly. Just understand it is an older hotel."

Our room, though not “large” was bigger than most rooms on our trip, including luxury hotels we stayed in. "We stayed on a Wednesday night, they inform you of the noise from the night club. The night club isn’t open during the week, but there’s a very nice bar next to it we had a blast in!!. We didn’t hear a peep the whole night. Would definitely stay again!!"
