"Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. "Nice spacious and very clean room. Well facilitated with a tea tray and bottles of water. Room was immensely hot but thankfully able to open all the windows. Liked fresh cooked breakfast (as opposed to usual buffets) however I would love to see a better drinkable coffee being served and a little gripe - after requesting hard poached egg with no ‘snot’ my egg was totally snotty when I cut it and ran into my breakfast so didn’t eat much. "I stayed for two nights with my wife, bed and breakfast. We had one of the chalets out the back which was very clean and cosy. The facilities are first class and the staff were great. The food was superb, reasonably priced and large portions. The breakfast was very good with a ample choice."
