I thought the site was really in a nice area..lodge was well equipped. The staff were all so friendly and helpful especially Alex who had to sort our booking out as expedia had not entered the booking. Alex handled this with true professionalism and found us a booking. He really puts Woodlakes Park on the map.
Was a very nice lodge/cabin just what we expected, no phone signal but wifi works fine and is free, just make sure you check boiler is on before filling hot tub up lol, did notice the tv feet was installed wrong so changed them over 😂
Lovely location. Nice place to eat on site - Jacks. They had live music which was good. The cabin was nicely fitted out. New bathroom and kitchen. Beds not so comfy, one single was very poor. Great view of lakes, lovely walks round lakes.
I was in one of the cheaper lodges not overlooking the lakes and closer to the bins. Lodge was clean overall and simply equipped with the standard fittings. I didn’t use any of the restaurants on site and check in was very easy.
We arrived to check in and they couldn’t find our booking . Four people and an hour later they found it . Gave us the keys and assured us all would be ok had been cleaned when we got there it had not been cleaned. Back to reception to inform them . They were very apologetic and sent cleaners to sort it out . After 2.5 hours of arriving we got in our lodge Which was clean . After a while went to fill jacuzzi bath up no hot water . Checked water in lodge non looked at boiler needed resetting . Had to do a few times to get it working as reception was closed. Eventually got in the jacuzzi which was very nice .
However Friday morning the boiler needed resetting again which had to be done a few times . Went to fill up jacuzzi again which then took nearly three hours as the water just trickled out . I saw the cleaner who called the hot tub maintenance who came and explained it was because so many hot tubs to fill pressure is no good . He called the maintenance team about the boiler who came and said it happens he would report it but do what I had if goes again . Needed to fill again in evening was a little better . Felt like would have used more but took to long to use .
Booked for a family holiday. The first day we was without a working tv and for the rest of our holiday the tv signal was really bad. Toaster kept tripping the power. Cabins are really out dated specially the bathrooms. Table leg was hanging on by a thread. Chair's were all broken/wobbling. Decking was rotting and popping up in areas witch were Really dangerous for my 4 year old daughter. Flooring in cabin is rising in areas.

Excellent stay, this is great for a few days away escape and I hear the fishing is great too. Surroundings are just lovely, its peaceful, full of nature. Cabin is very spacious, suitable for families and couples, great kitchenette, table and chairs too, both inside and outside the cabin. It is super clean, you have everything you need, other than Wifi, to get Wifi, you have to be outside the Cabin but its on a beautiful balcony, so no hardship, and the tv in the cabin is tiny. Site staff are outstanding, nothing they wont do for you. Thoroughly recommend Woodlakes. There is also a great onsite restaurant called Jacks, you must try it.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Each cabin had own parking, picnic bench and staging to fish. Good tv reception but no internet. Cabin tired on outside needs cleaning and lick of woodstain, bench on decking full of cobwebs and needs attention. Cobwebs in property. Windows need a good clean and following rain guttering leaking. Windows do not open far so very hot and stuffy inside cabin especially at night due to excessive heat - had to report missing blind on door which they were aware of lack of privacy however they replaced by time I returned from shopping. Chairs and settee very low
Lovely setting, cabin clean and comfortable with everything you need. Only slight things were lack of decent sized glasses (very common problem) and the main bedroom would be vastly improved if just another 18” wide so that both people can get out (however this is the cabin design I guess). Neither of these spoilt our stay, would recommend and also Jacks, lovely friendly staff and good food.
Very pleasant stay in nice surroundings. The cabins are plenty large for a couple such as us and reasonably well- appointed. The sink in the shower room was ridiculously small and largely taken up by an over- sized tap! Electricity is accessed via a card which you purchase at reception at arrival - don’t buy it but check the meter in your cabin first as ours had over £50 in credit! We got takeaway pizzas from the onsite restaurant which were pretty good.
