"What a tasteful yet homely pub stay! There was poor comunication between expedia and kings Head regards the number of people in our party for the room! But staff did all in their power to compensate and make us comfortable!! Will certainly go back and will give an excellent score. Loved the food and everything about it!! Only downside is - food stops at 8pm. But they do ptovide a cold platter after this time that's delicious! "

"Augill Castle is a very special place - we celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary there and it was perfect!. The ambience, the staff, all the quirky artifacts in the castle, it was like staying in someones home. I would highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed and we hope to return! Thank you Augill Castle it was magical!"

"The cottage was pristine, we felt like we were the first guests. It is a spacious, comfortable and stylish property and the owner’s attention to detail is second to none. Large beds and great showers. Very quiet at night so we slept well. Large private garden. Warcop is a lovely village with good walks along the river & streams. The Chamley Arms around the corner was very welcoming but we just missed out on being able to eat there as they are starting serving meals in July. However we enjoyed the food and friendly welcome at the Sandford Arms in the next village, Sunday lunch was particularly good. Despite the changeable weather we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cosy Nook Cottage, it is not a typical holiday let, it’s a wonderful home."

We got both, and Fran was a multi-tasking, dart-offering smiley force of happiness, which I really neded. We visited Kirkby Stephen for sad reasons, but we left with a smile. "
