"Once you understand that all of Costa Rica is like this, then you get that it is normal. There were pairs of cops on many corners so I felt pretty safe. Even in the evening, it was just a bit slower and cooler than the day. Just always lots of people. The Jade Museum was terrific. The National Theater was closed for tours. :( Great food everywhere. It was great.

"The Marriott Hacienda Belen is the only hotel where I stay in San Jose. I have been there 15+ times as it’s the best way to finish a Costa Rica trip before getting back. The convenience of the shuttle to the airport is a must. This hotel has been consistent through the years with impeccable facilities, multiple food outlets, great brunch buffet, welcoming staff and pristine rooms. The place is just beautiful in a very special historic building. I have been recommending it to family and friends....

"Enjoyed the stay, casino was a little small only had slots going no tables that was a little disappointing but it was fine. Would stay here again if needed to stay in area. Close to airport."
"I stayed at this property with my children. We chose this place due to the proximity to the airport. We had a wonderful restful stay. The property is in a gated community. The neighborhood is very clean, quiet, safe and family friendly. There was private parking and street parking. Owners gave us a warm welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. They had breakfast options for an extra fee. Our apartment had a nice little kitchen so we decided to cook dinner and breakfast. Owners shared...
