The rooms and bathrooms are very poorly lit. Difficult to read in your room and impossible to apply makeup etc in the bathroom. Very dark.

This hotel had excellent staff, always smiling and happy to help. The bedroom was well decorated with a comfy bed and was very quiet.The restaurant served delicious food with a good choice for breakfast and dinner, the only down side it was dimly lit in the evening even reading the menu was difficult.

Great hotel, room was lovely and loved having a bath and a shower separate. Beds were comfy too only thing was I was surprised there was no fridge or ice bucket but apart from that it was great and would stay here again.

This was my 2nd visit this year.....and possibly not the last! As always the staff were friendly and helpful and my room was clean and spacious. I had dinner on 1 of the nights in the restaurant and the food was lovely (breakfast each morning always is also).

We love staying in the Malmaison as it is in a great location. Quiet situation but an easy walk into the city. Staff are always very friendly and attentive too. Breakfast just a little pricey.

Fantastic staff and great location. We stayed in a club deluxe room and were disappointed. The room was tired and not quite as advertised, at this price point, chipped paint and a blind that doesn’t fit the window isn’t great. Bed was super-comfy though! The bar and restaurant were great and location is brilliant for getting around town. If you travel by car, the parking is next door, but a hefty £22.50 for 24 hours-we made the mistake of heading out to meet friends and clocked up and extra charge, one to be aware of.
