"Sheets were a little dirty."

"Fantastic resort, especially if you have children! We’ve been to a few “five star” resorts that did not live up to their rating- but this one certainly did. The room was gorgeous, bed was comfortable, food 10/10, resort was very clean (especially public bathrooms), and the beach was stunning. I’ve been at “family resorts” before but I’ve never experienced one quite like this. There were multiple activities every day for children that spanned throughout the day into the evening. The only downfalls were the buffet was a bit small for the size of the resort - there is only 1 public pool (aside from the kids water park) so if you didn’t have children, you basically didn’t have a place to escape to be around adults only (I’m not complaining - I know this is not an adults only resort, I just didn’t expect there to be SO many children) - and they don’t allow for online restaurant reservations. "

"I can't find enough good things to say about this resort, honestly. My best friend and I were here for our first time in DR and our expectations were certainly exceeded. We had the BEST experience and the staff here are incredible. Breakfast at the buffet? TEN OUT OF TEN! Whew. We ate a lot and all the restaurants had great service and food. The buffet breakfast was just our fav. Dany, Denisse(in the Cafe), Erick, Kelvin, Junior, Hot Coffee, Chocolate were all incredible and contributed positively to our experience. The rooms are sweet and comfortable. I didn't get to enjoy the tub in our room because we were out so much. The chairs near the beach are covered and the attendants are wonderful in keeping your cups filled. I could write all day. It was a great atmosphere. The pools are nice. There were spaces for peace and quiet and some to have a dance party. Loved it and will be back<3"

"We had an overall great experience at Meliá DR. The staff truly made our stay memorable—everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely supportive throughout our visit. The food was another highlight, consistently fresh and very enjoyable with plenty of variety. A special thank you to Reynardo at the concierge desk, who was superb. He went above and beyond to guide us and ensure we had everything we needed, making our stay even more seamless and enjoyable. The only downside was that the rooms are starting to show their age and could benefit from some updates. With a bit of renovation, this resort would be even more exceptional. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would gladly return."

"Assistant Carlos - I asked to make restaurant reservations for 6-7pm, we are 2 little kids, like 3 weeks before arriving, somehow he scheduled for 7:45, 8:45 etc. Rooms are old, wet inside, ACs leaking, 2 times issues with safebox. Need restoration. Staff do not speaking minimum English language. For the same amount of money, we had much better experience in another Punta Cana hotel."

"Gracias!! The room was spacious and very comfortable, with many pillows on the bed. The beach nearby is beautiful and well maintained, with plenty of shade. The food in the local restaurants was absolutely delicious and worth trying."
