Amazing jewel in the Tuscan hills

Everything about the Relais Farinati was fantastic . The staff are so helpful and friendly , great swimming pool The hotel is very tastefully decorated throughout . Lovely breakfast and so nice that it’s not buffet style , The evening food was excellent so authentic Italian . Spacious well equipped bedrooms , 15 minutes drive from Lucca centre couldn’t be better. We will be back !

We would definitely come back again. The hotel was in the most beautiful situation overlooking Lucca. It was so very peaceful. And to have a swimming pool was an added bonus. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Beautiful place very relaxing with excellent view. Great service. Parking no very close to building ( if rainy day very uncomfortable). Road to the hotel very narrow. Had an incident going down and old gentleman coming up, he had to back up car for more than 100 meters and honestly he didn’t know how to back up car. Todo almost have and hour to be able to continue my way down. But other than that beautiful place

Great people but something missing

The two sisters running the hotel are great and the staff also. The room was comfortable but lacked a TV. The room by UK people would be described as tired and in need of upgrading. But the place was a old monestry and so would be described as authentic. Because it had no bar it seemed to lack some atmosphere compared to UK hotels. In short it's great if you want very quiet stay in the Italian mountains.

Das Relais Farinati wird in 4. Generation privat geführt, was sich im Service und der Atmosphäre im Haus komplett widerspiegelt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das exzellente Essen, dessen Zutaten lokal gekauft und frisch zubereitet werden. Auch das Angebot der Weine kommt von einem Weingut nur einige Meter entfernt. Die Aussicht vom Relais Farinati ist unschlagbar und das Gesamtkonzept hat uns sehr beeindruckt.

Best place to rest your soul and body

Fantastic visit! Perfect place to relax and rest your body and soul for a few days. We stayed there a few beginning of July. The food and service was excellent, no need to go elsewhere for dinner if you like homemade food cooked with love. Sibylla and her sister is wonderful. Very low-key but professional. The rooms are clean and nice.

Such a lovely stay and a lovely host (owner). She was both acting as a receptionist, waiter and cook 😊 Place is fantastic in an historical setting from 14th century. Can’t recommend it enough and would love to come back.

Setting and view and use of a pool. However seemed to be run with minimal staff who were part time. So called bar was trying to find someone and often only 1 member of staff around who then when into a room to get the drink. Same member of staff did some of the the cleaning, taking food order, cooked the meal and served it! Felt the limited staff were taken advantage of

The property is family owner for. 70 year. If you are looking for an authentic Tuscan experience this is the place to stay. The owner Sabilla is lovely, as are all the staff Fabritizio the manager and Sara and Raquelle are so accommodating and all knowledgeable on places to see, eat etc. Breakfast is beautiful from fresh croissants, fruits, cereals, hot breakfast and cheeses and meat choices. The views to sit and eat breakfast is stunning. The grounds and pool are kept immaculate.

Fantastisk udsigt fra værelset og lækker pool. Mindre god service og ekstraomkostninger på stort set alt. Sengen var virkelig dårlig og der var utrolig lydt i huset. Vi ville desværre ikke have lyst til at komme tilbage.
