"Great location, charming and unique rooms (Queen loft has a good view of lower-east side of Manhattan) and very helpful staff. If you book a room with a soaking tub, you can request for bubble-bath free of charge. There's a historic "Katz's Delicatessen" across the street which is quite good (running since 1880s - in the same old way with paper-ticket slips) where you must try the Pastrami sandwich; the line at lunch outside is quite long so you'll want to visit early."

"Great AC for the crazy NYC summers. Great showers and morning breakfast was good. By two metro stops, about half a dozen restaurants and a dozen food trucks. Corner store food and snacks great. 7 Train (5 min walk) made it easy to get to Manhattan in about 20 minutes."

"The elevator situation was a nightmare. The hotel had two working elevators and yet one of them was mostly reserved for private events! It’s as if they didn’t care about their hotel guests. We often waited 25 minutes for an elevator. And the front desk responded “well one elevator has been broken for three weeks and it will get fixed today”. That never happened. This hotel Was way too expensive for service like this."

We had lots of luggage and asked several times for help with storing it while we were arranging things and loading it into a van. "I will give 3 stars, during our check in, the receptionist lady is mean, she wasn’t very polite. The rooms were good, though my only issue about it was that our AC was noisy. Another issue that I have is that the doors often make noise. Every time a neighbor opens a door, and especially when someone accesses the utility room (which was across our room), we could hear the creaking from inside, even late at night. The breakfast menu in this hotel always stays consistent (or the same)."

"Property is in the heart of New York and places of interest are a walk or train ride away. It has its own New York charm. You will have to keep your luggages light and few in number as there are no elevators/lifts."
