"My experience at The Residence Inn Marriott was generally great. First of all, the young woman at the front desk was really friendly and helpful. She even paid 80 cents of my candy bar when I didn’t have enough money! Second, I loved my room with its dishwasher and microwave, really comfortable bed, big couch and Tv on a swivel so that it can be watched from anywhere in the room. The windows looked out on a pretty view of a pond; since the weather was beautiful, I opened the windows and fell asleep to the sound of bullfrogs and crickets. The one drawback was the bathtub, which looked a little scummy. However, the complementary breakfast was really good, with homemade biscuits and a big vat of oatmeal. Fruit, though, would be a nice addition."
"I reserved a king-size bed when I booked my reservation but when I checked in, I was given a double. The bathroom floor was particularly dirty, especially in the corners, and the tub was stained with rings inside. I tried cleaning it with my usual travel product, but it didn't make a difference. When I showered I found the tub drained so slowly that I was standing in two inches of water before I stopped and decided to shower at my mother's house for the rest of my stay. The hotel displayed signs claiming it was a smoke-free environment, yet I could smell smoke whenever entering or leaving the hotel. Overall, I did my best to make the most of the situation, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone traveling and definitely won't stay here again."
