"This is a very pleasant hotel, ideally situated for those arriving in Skipton by train. It's virtually the first thing you see when leaving the station. It's a ten minute stroll into the town centre, past a former cotton mill, and there's an alternative route via the attractive canal towpath, easily accessible from the rear of the hotel. "Room was ok . Dull dark decor and v small television. Table light worked but wonky and carpet threadbare in some areas . Clean . Check in was not very welcoming , lady seemed rushed and no pleasantries . Asked for more milk which didn’t get . Meal in the evening was good . Sticky toffee sauce was more like weak caramel. Decided not to stay the night so returned home so can’t comment on breakfast. Staff serving meal v good . "

"Wonderful overnight stay with our springer spaniel . Lovely clean and spacious dog friendly room in the Annex with a fabulous view . Set in wonderful grounds with lovely outdoor areas and enjoyed a great circular walk down to the river. All staff were so friendly and the steak for the evening meal was cooked perfectly as was the very generous breakfast . Definitely be back"

"It was consistent with expectation and you get what you pay for. Which wasn't a lot. It served its purpose as an overnight stop-over before an early flight. Easy parking, convenient for LBA. Food awful. Bed was comfortable, room was clean but dark, shabby and rather depressing. Best bit - escaping into early morning sunshine."

"We arrived quite late, having travelled up after a long week of hard work. Although we missed the opportunity to eat, we had a drink and retired to our room. Walked through a very pleasant looking outdoor seating with well landscaped gardens and ambient lighting, Even by the entrance to the block where our room was, there was a couple of chairs and we did have a sit for a while, as it was a very warm evening.
