10/10 Excellent

"Lovely clean room,comfortable bed,and hot drinks facility. Bar had good selection of drinks and staff very helpful. Breakfast bar good variety and quality of food. Restaurant staff very friendly and helpful. At time of our visit weather hot and outside seating limited,but we were lucky, Overall an excellent visit and convenient to the city - a 10 to15 minute walk to the clock gate."

"I stayed at Crowne Plaza Chester for the races and found it to be a bit of a mixed experience. The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient for exploring Chester. The restaurant was lovely, and the breakfast was particularly good with a great selection of food. The reception areas and public toilets were also clean, well-presented, and gave a good first impression. Unfortunately, the rooms let the hotel down. They are in need of modernisation, with dated furniture and décor that feels tired compared to the rest of the property. Some of the plug sockets in the room didn't work, which was frustrating, and the shower pressure was very weak, making it difficult to enjoy a proper shower. Overall, the hotel benefits from a fantastic location, good food, and well-maintained public areas, but the rooms would greatly benefit from refurbishment and some attention to maintenance issues."

"Absolute sweatbox of a room and a very small window to try and get some cool air in as the air con was just inept, also very dark room so had to have the lights on which didn't help the temperature of the room. Tried to have a cool bath but no plug for the bath could be found so then tried to have a cool shower but kept getting blasts of hot water on me so gave up on that. Went out for the evening and when we came back to the room it was slightly cooler as we'd left the window open so we were able to get some sleep. The breakfast buffet was very nice and about the only highlight of our stay. If we were to visit Chester again we wouldn't be stopping here again as its a 20 minute walk to the centre and for £180 for the night I'd want a better room that something resembled a loft conversion."

"Great location. Check-in was fast and friendly. Room was well proportioned and clean. Had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant and the staff were helpful, polite and professional. Surprised at how quiet our room was considering how convenient for the airport the hotel is. Breakfast service lasted until 11am and was delicious. Wide selection of hot and cold options too. Courtesy bus to the airport for our train home was great although you need to remember to contact the hotel after your plane has landed at the airport if you don't want to wait around too long for the bus at Arrivals. Lovely hotel though and would definitely recommend."

"Amazing hotel food in the restaurant was beautiful and lovely experience and nice to see the hotel in such great shape. The spa facilities were great and easy to access and very clean. I would like to especially mention the bar and restaurant staff who worked in the evening who were so so plesent and welcoming making everyone in the resturant enjoy there time. Once again such a great experience."
