"Fantastic stay between Bath & Stonehenge. Surrounding towns provide tonnes of history, monuments and pleasant hills. Great carpark and good showers. It was an unusual hot night and the room had a fan!!! Great staff, I recommend."

"On arrival there was road works outside the hotel which we were unaware of. I had messaged to ask where to park but got no answer. The parking is payable across the road and behind some houses. The hotel building is very old and the bar area is quite nice. The two young lads on the bar were very nice and friendly. The room we had was in need of decoration and updating, not in good shape. We had drinking facilities provided but I’d advise take your own as the ones given were to certain tastes....

The quality of the shamoo/conditioner was not very good in my opinion. I found the pillows were useless, too airly and too soft, feels like no substance in them. "Location is superb, 100 ft to Chippenham bus station, and leads than 10 minutes bistro from the train station. Room is spacious, so is the bathroom, big and renovated. Courtyard is nice. There is a leisure pool at site too. Huge parking lot at back. The buffet breakfast offered was full English style and truly great. Staffs were super friendly. "I had a warm welcome and my case was taken up to my room. The room was large with king sized bed. All clean, dated, but that suited the age of hotel! There was a small table with kettle and a selection of tea, coffee etc. Large en-suite with large shower. Lots of choices on breakfast menu and cooked freshly. Parking was easy. Location was excellent. 5 minutes walk to Lacock Abbey. Lacock is a very small place but very interesting."

"Lovely hotel the only downside which I had not realised was breakfast started at 8 and we needed to leave at 730. The staff were lovely and provided us with cereal and milk the night before. We eat in the restaurant on the evening of our arrival and the food was excellent."

The bed & pillows were excellent, and the host quickly supplied the top sheet we asked for. Fast wifi ticked the box. "It is a travesty to call the Wiltshire hotel a spa. We had had a long day travelling and were looking forward to a really nice spa experience. We were given a locker key and a sad towel, no robe. The ladies changing rooms were a disgrace. Broken tiles, grubby floor and a section had been roped off. The pool area was dirty with broken tiles, and mould on the floor tiles. The jacuzzi wasn’t working, neither was the steam room. The hot sauna was good but the pool temperature was on the low side. ...
