"We recently stayed at The Ellie for two nights, booking two rooms for three adults and three children. We specifically chose this resort because of its advertised family-friendly amenities and activities, as this trip was meant to be a special gift for the kids. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match what was promoted on the website. It listed daily activities for both kids and adults at set times, but during our three-day stay, none of those activities took place. There was also no tiki bar open at the main pool, and while there was live music the evening we arrived, there was nothing offered after that. For the price we paid, we expected much more of a true “resort” experience. Check-in wasn’t until 4 PM, which is fairly standard, but the pool closes at 7:30 PM—leaving very little time to enjoy it after getting settled. The water slides, while fun, don’t open until after 11 AM. There are also no restrooms poolside; the only bathrooms are on the first floor. The women’s restroom was especially disappointing—it was out of soap and toilet paper for two days, even after staff was notified, and it was consistently dirty. We also experienced issues getting pool towels (none available until nearly noon one day), and many of the water spigots meant for rinsing sand off were broken or not working properly. "Having to wait cause room was not ready is ok but 3 hours at no one advise you that is ready unacceptable … and i had my whole family and getting extra pillows and extra blankets was a hassle But room was comfortable for everyone "

"The property was a good place to stay however hotel.com over booked up @ had us spending a night in our vehicle! They also over booked 5 more people & one. Purple had 6 kids! They only gave us back $33 the difference of the 2 days booking! Stay Away for this site bc I will NEVER use them again! "

"The unit we stayed in was a 3bd/2br and was very clean upon arrival. Both the check in and out process were super easy. The location was ideal to Murrells Inlet restaurants and Myrtle Beach attractions. Would definitely recommend if looking for a quieter stay."
