"Room was immaculate. Staff were very friendly and helpfull. We used the gym , pool and hot tub which were all really nice "

"Not a great hotel at all. There was a smell of weed as I walked to my room and there is a musty smell in the remaining areas of the hotel. It is on a services which has a good choice of food options. I paid for breakfast but did not have it as the cutlery was dirty and it didnt look the best - £12 is not value and you are better off going next door for food. The room was pretty run down and had holes in the wall from where an old tv was removed and a smaller one fitted, bathroom had some dirty tiles in it and the general condition was run down. No air con in the room and it was hot so slept with window open but in the peak of summer it would be horrible in there. The only positive I found was the bed was comfy and for a motorway services it was relatively quiet."

"Road noise audible from the nearby A1 but expected that so ear plugs prevented any issues. Dated decor and furnishings but room clean. Tea coffee kettle in room. My priorities for this stay were location and cost and Redwing Lodge delivered on both. Staff very friendly, self service breakfast basic toasts, cereals, drinks. Perfect for a budget stopover spot. "

"Excellent value for money. The cleanliness of the room was top-notch, and everything felt very modern and fresh. A huge thanks to the friendly staff who made check-in and out so easy and were always happy to help. The complimentary breakfast was also great—plenty of hot and cold choices and a perfect way to start the day. I’d definitely stay here again."

"Good size room staff lovely. Unfortunately the room was freezing cold and the duvet was paper thin. Card for the room didn’t work and we had to keep going back down 2 flights of stairs to get the card reprogrammed. "
