"The staff was amazing. Food was delicious . Dorms are not sound proof though. So you could hear any noise coming from the other rooms. However, after 10:30pm it was super quiet and we could only hear the sound of the water from the lake. Really pleasant. "

Make sure to reserve parking upfront as only have a few spaces. Lobelt breakfast. "The hotel was half way up the mountain so it was lovely to have them pick us up from the train station. The town of Varenna was easily reached with a 10 minute walk down the mountain however the uphill trip could be a bit gruelling, there is a free bus that operates from the station after 7pm. The hotel room was well appointed and even had a washing machine which was well used by us. It was a beautiful peaceful setting with pool and spa and a lovely restaurant a few steps away.
