This property is welcoming pets, both pools are kept clean and in a good condition, surroundings- green oasis- very relaxing and pleasant. However, room was outdated: sh
Staff was amazing Chef Van was so accommodating and his food creations were out of this world! We had the whole place to ourselves. Private, restful and we cannot wait to return
The room was clean and comfortable with a fully functional ear-in kitchen as a separate room. We also had our own patio with a hammock. The staff was super friendly and attentive and the pools and fire pit and the rest of the grounds provided a perfect variety of serene options.
Love this place. Love the grounds, the rooms, and the pool. Minor criticism, Water heater in my room did not work in the evening. There was no Staff on site, Had to do multiple phone calls with an after hours person to arrange maintenance. Maintenance worker showed up almost 2 hours later, did something, but no hot water until the next morning. On-Site Staff would have been helpful.
We loved the pool and how intimate the place was. Its a perfect serene and tranquil getaway from the city. The breakfast we had was amazing! My husband and I had so much fun laying on the pool hammocks stargazing.

This place is a hidden gem. We fully enjoyed our stay here.
Love the relaxed homey vibe of this place! If you are looking for a quick getaway to relax and spend the entire time at the hotel this is the place in desert hot springs.
Room was good. The staff were excellent.
We would not return here for a special occasion weekend.
It was disappointing that the facility offered a day pass.
When we booked it was under the understanding that the place only had 6 rooms. We were under the impression that would be 12-15 people on the premises.
Not so, we ended up with a group of young people and a barking dog on our second day
We make the trip to Desert Hot Springs every year. The staff were a 10/10. Loved the place. We went there thinking we were guaranteed peace and quiet with a very limited number of guests.- not so
Love the new owner and the direction she is taking the property!
Very peaceful, like an oasis!

Disappointed that we couldnât use the sauna. A tree is in front of the door. It would not open all the way.
Our back patio was completely missed at clean up. Broken tree, two broken branches blocking our door. Broken lamps on the ground. Broken chair arm rest. Also, more signage is needed QUIET ZONE. Two day pass ladies came in on our last day and were sooooo loud. Talking, and phone usage. Ridiculous.
The property was cute, unique, and had a boutique feel. The only problem was that they allow day-use guests and so the pool you thought you were going to share with just a handful of guests at this small boutique hotel gets filled with people during the day. We got back from our hike ready to cool off only to find there wasnt a single lounge chair available and this continued until 5pm. So much for our relaxing weekend by the pool!
LOVED the Good House! Beautiful oasis behind the gated secure wall. Well maintained clean serene surroundings. Super chill friendly 7 room spa mineral pool and jacuzzi.
Perfect temps and nice natural state. This will become a regular get away!
Delicious breakfast served at big community table or wherever you want on property.
This was the perfect stay! We were pleasantly surprised that the sauna was up and running. The hot springs water was excellent- clean and healing as we took a dip to relax and warm up in the winter's cold. Staff was extremely nice and super helpful. The hotel itself was super cute and very clean. Definitely a do-over!
Outside pool area is great. Room quality is not up to standards. No hair dryer, toiletries or iron were in the room. Mattress on bed is horrible and needs to be replaced. Blood stains on the mattress cover. Poor girl on site has to clean and take care of everything by herself.
This place has a very "silent pool party at my rich friend's house" vibe. Because it's so small, it's an extremely intimate space, which can make interacting with fellow travelers pleasant or awkward--truly a case-by-case experience. When we went, there were two pools available, they were lovely, as promised. The place seems to be a little bit understaffed, however--it was hard to get towels replaced, and there never seemed to be enough breakfast foods for the number of people staying, which seemed odd. The rooms were also curiously furnished, with a little bit less of everything than you might expect (we only had two sleeping pillows, which seemed weird). In number 2, where we stayed, there was no overhead light and nothing that could pass for a reading lamp, so at night we had to rely on the light from the kitchenette and two very dim basket lamps when we wanted to read at night.

A Tranquil Getaway
While the Good House may not be everyone's cup of tea, for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, it is an ideal location. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the grounds are an oasis of calm and beauty. The Good House is an intimate environment where you can really connect with your neighbors over a delicious breakfast. The warm pool and even warmer tub feature the best water in the world. Bring a good book and really unplug. The rooms are basic and charmingly rustic, so if you are looking for 5-Star accommodation, look elsewhere. That said, there's little reason to be in your room beyond sleep time. There are plenty of shady outdoor spots to catch a quiet nap in a lounge chair or hammock. The sauna is top-notch. Except for breakfast, there is no food service on premises, and local options are limited. Plan accordingly. All in all, if you really are craving rest, relaxation and a no-fuss vibe, the Good House is your place.
