"Perfect simple
Room for an overnight while hunting the area. The coke machine was down. Basic room clean property. Quick drive to restaurants for dinner and breakfast. Even walkable. Would stay here again "
"We checked in Friday and were told after we got settled into our room by our friends, not the staff at check in, that there would be no hot water until Sat. This was inconvenient because we were there for a wedding and NEEDED a good shower. 1 night, ok we could deal. Then on Saturday we were told the hot water would not be fixed then either. When we complained, we were told they could give us $14 back for our 2 night stay. Ridiculous. Not only that but our friends didn’t have electricity in their room when they checked in and then it was turned on, the microwave was going with moldy food in it. Our other friends couldn’t straighten her hair bc the breaker kept tripping. Other than ALL OF THAT, the room was clean minus stains on the carpets. Elevators, hallway walls and carpets definitely need updating. Breakfast that was provided was ok. Oh we were also supposed to be charged $65 for our Friday stay but cc was ran for $79 and NOT refunded the lousy $14. "
"Convenient location to the brewery, quiet ,very clean room. Air conditioning was great.
We arrived after dark, and the facility was a little darker than I thought it could . The carport could use a sensor light to make it a little safer.
The experience was great."
"It’s a lovely boutique hotel that has historic origins but has been fitted out very nicely now as a hotel. The attached Italian restaurant is excellent - we had two meals there and thoroughly enjoyed each. There is no staff to deal with - a lady came from the restaurant to let us our room key and we never saw anyone then. Lots of history in the area - 20 minutes to Shiner and the Spoetzel brewery for the tours there. 10 minutes from the Ottine Mineral Springs Spa. We’ve recommended it to friends travelling soon to the area."
"We booked 5 rooms. 4 of us had significant issues with the condition of our rooms. The staff was incredibly kind. But the hotel is in need of new housekeeping personnel. And the housekeeper shouldn’t show up to the rooms with her dog, who walked straight into the room. "
