"I really wonder if all these reviews are paid. This was by far the dingiest courtyard place we’ve stayed at. When I booked it said Breakfast was offered but they charged $18 for a buffet that I wouldn’t have eaten even if it were free. Overall, it was a very strange experience."

"We only stayed one night and had an early flight, so admittedly limited exposure to the hotel. Hotel itself had a very strong, permeating odor of the hotel laundry services, atleast on the first floor. Despite our room being a down the hall and around a corner from the laundry services, all we could smell was chemical laundry odors. The room itself appeared to have been cleaned without attention to detail, as we found a candy wrapper under the bed and hair in the tub/shower. The front desk staff...

"It looks like just a split-level house, but Mr. and Mrs. Deal have turned it into a lovely oasis for visitors. They recommended Sofia's for lunch, an easy mile walk, and the food there is amazing. Mrs. Deal very kindly agreed to hold most of our luggage while we did a train ride to Seward for an overnight stay. She even put together a perfect brown bag breakfast since we were leaving so early. Our room is lovely and the bed is very comfortable. The entire house is spotless. I highly recommend...

"This is an amazing hotel. The front desk clerks were very kind and friendly. The lobby was inviting. The rooms were very clean. The breakfast attendant was unbelievably alert to everything that was going on. I’ve never seen such care and concern that everyone had what they needed. The grandkids loved the pool. The hotel is very close to the airport which was great for us! I would stay here again in a heartbeat."

"The hotel is actually old and tired compared to the photos online. The staff was nice enough and the airport shuttle was actually pretty good. We didn’t have a car because we were getting back from a cruise. so we were told of a couple restaurants in the area to walk to and the convenience store nearby . we came across several homeless people and never threatened directly but a very uncomfortable feeling just walking around. Actually quite sad to see people in that situation."

"Unfortunately, this place was not what we were expecting. There were some things that prevented the apartment from receiving higher ratings. For example, no screens in the windows plus no AC meant we were hot the entire time. Also, the half bath has no fan, so when nature calls, you share it with the bedroom… especially with the barn doors. Finally, the pictures make it seem like the entire place is yours, but you are no one of four apartments in the home."

"Well the stay didn’t really start off on the right foot with the smoke detector chirping within five seconds of entering our room which was promptly handled. However problems started piling on after that. Open window with no screen on the window leading to several wasps in our room, light fixture in the ceiling missing, no hair dryer (also missing and when requested they said they had no spares), and TWO towels for FOUR people. When asked for additional towels was literally snickered at because...

"Well it’s a cheap dump. It was quiet however the window didn’t have a screen so the mosquitoes wanted to come in- had to close the window. This place is cheap- location is safe - no real amenities- if you want a blow dryer go get one from the front desk. I don’t believe I would ever stay here again- it was a place to crash while traveling around Alaska"

"We had an EXTRAORDINARY suite that was clean, spacious , comfortable and absolutely perfect!! It had a fully equipped kitchen with everything you could need for a wonderful stay in Anchorage!! Can’t wait to bring my family and friends !!"

"I was here for a short stay but the room was great! Easy to find, easy to park, felt like there were some amenities I didn’t have the time to utilize, downstairs lobby had lovely social areas but I had an early departure so I did not make use of them. Very comfy bed."
