"The night staff's English was very difficult to understand and she was fairly brusque and not overly helpful. I felt like she would rather have been elsewhere than at the desk helping customers. There is no elevator in the hotel and we had a lot of bags, some containing valuable items, and we were not comfortable with storing them with the staff, so wound up schlepping about 7 heavy bags up and down stairs. "Fridge was dirty and barely hanging on. Made horrible loud sounds all night. Room (non smoking) smelled so badly of cigarette smoke it was hard to breathe upon first entering. The shower water takes about 5-7 business days for the temperature to adjust, so either start it in advance or spend the whole shower adjusting the temperature. The parking lot is littered with trash and tweakers. We were not given the room that we booked and paid for in advance. It's the kind of shoddy hotel you see in...

"We were swimming in the pool, then a group of 18 local people were let in by a staff member. They were dressed in street clothes, brought towels from home, and since the group was so large we were pushed out of the pool. Very disheartening for paying $500+ for the weekend and unable to utilize the pool because a staff member let their family and friends in. They also do not provide daily housekeeping (clean towels, beds made, etc) during a 3 day stay. There are also a TON of homeless people...
