"When we arrived at the hotel they did not have our booking in their system and looked very surprised to see anyone there. We were the only guests at the entire hotel, but they still did not have a room available for us at 3.30pm when we arrived. We got our room at 4.30pm but was told we should wait 1 hour with using the private pool as they had just put in the chlorine. The rooms are a bit messy and dusty. "Having on hand printed my already paid booking with Expedia, where the room was pool view (was on the description of my booking), they tell me that to have that room I would pay extra money, I choose the room with pool view and air conditioning but they give me a room behind the hotel with a fan. We only spent one night there and we lost the money for the rest of the days. Could be a problem between Expedia and the Hotel but the hotel only ask for more money and Expedia doesn't allow to cancel...

"A beautiful setting with wonderful staff, even if one or two lacked attentiveness. The bamboo bungalow was beautiful. The bed and beddings were 5/5; very comfortable. Unfortunately, the accolades stop there. Because the "retreat" is so remote, there are no other eating options nearby so guests have to rely on the hotel restaurant. As good as the food was (save for the cold soups), the options were very limited. This was unacceptable given we were the only guests and the menu was not extensive at...
