"This was the culmination of a self-promise made 11 years ago. Then, we had afternoon tea on the patio, but can’t remember how we discovered Portloe. We said we should stay here if we ever visit Cornwall again. Fast forward to now; an unexpected opportunity to re-visit Cornwall. And it came to pass. Our stay did not disappoint- the quirky corridors to our room, the spectacular views from the windows, the bright and airy restaurant and the opportunity (again) to observe a lone fisherman working on...

"I loved our stay at the Pirate Inn,the people were so welcoming and helpful. The accommodation had everything we needed for our stay and was lovely and clean and very organised. We would definitely be happy to stay again when we are in the area. Great location meant that it was just a ten minute walk to the town centre and the harbour."

"Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to email to cancel our booking. We did ask for some of a refund as we had paid £400 in full. I appreciate the terms and conditions but due to the reason of having to cancel I was disappointed that not even a reply to our email was given. We got hold of Expedia who called them on our behalf as they never answered our calls and flat refused to even offer and email of condolences. Just ignored. Wouldn’t go with them again out of principle and arrogance."

"Basic rooms located within a couple of minutes walk from Penzance station. The staff are helpful but check in may be slow if you arrive at a time when the bar is busy. The building itself is old and my single bedroom was faded and quite crampedbut the bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Breakfast was good and freshly cooked."

"We enjoyed a 3 night stay at The Black Swan. Andy was especially helpful. Enjoyed a delicious Sunday Roast there. In a lovely location with a shop just across the road which served delicious coffee and pastries. We had breakfast in Sula cafe just a couple of minutes walk away and it was so good. It was a perfect location for us and plenty of parking spaces."

"This pub was a great stop for us following a day of walking the SWCP. Very peaceful even though it is a pub. It is approximately 1 mile from Perranunthnoe, and SWCP. Bus 2 runs from right outside so ideal for connections to Penzance and Porthleven. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely return."
