"We paid for a standard double room. We were given room 105 next to reception. This room was very small. The sink in the bathroom could not lift your arms up to wash easily. The window did not close correctly or allow the lower part of the window to be open. Mcdonald's is next to this guest house. It closes at 2am ! The noise from this is terrible and you will not any sleep@ We did not get to sleep until 0230 and we're woken again at 0400 with bins being pulled about. The door to the room had...

"Air conditioning"

"I was flying from Canada. As soon as I've landed in Gatwick, they called me to cancel my reservation stating they overbooked. I had to sleep on the floor at the airport with my 15 years old daughter as all the other hotels were fully booked. If I go back to Gatwick, I won't reserve with them. Bad experience. On another note, Expedia were there to help me. They've been in touch, contacted other hotels. They did everything possible to help me."

"No air conditioning in room, no fridge in room, no lift access. I would not recommend this probably if you have luggage and/or physical limitations"

"Felt that the description was intentionally misleading around the shared bathroom. This should be the first thing mentioned! Tried to cancel but was continually referred to the terms and conditions, think this happens quite regularly when you read reviews on other platforms. Don't forget, if you do decide to go, you'll need to make a further deposit! Disappointing but lesson learnt."
