"Stayed for 1 night. On arrival was greeted by having to shout to the reception staff as the function room was right next door with a wedding and loud music. States free breakfast on Expedia however, the hotel does not provide any breakfast. This was one of the main reasons for booking this hotel. "The lodge was very convenient to Gatwick, the train station and the town. We had requested a ground floor room and received it along with early check in. Bathroom is tiny with no shelf space for toiletries. There were no hooks or hangers which was awkward. Maybe our expectations are different, but we had a total of one bath towel each for two nights - no hand towel or bath mat either. We did not have breakfast so can't comment on that."

"Arrived to find no phone in the room, which would have been nice to arrange an important wake up call the following morning. Compounding the issue was that my Alexa alarm clock couldn’t be connected to WiFi for an important alarm the next morning owing to the way in which you connected to the hotel’s internet.staff didn’t have any solutions as to how to fix this and seemed nonplussed. "Zero amenities, no atmosphere, very few staff & bar closes at 11, too early for a hotel if you’re having a weekend away or coming back after a night out. Breakfast £25 too much for a buffet. Room nice but very dark, uncomfortable pillows."

"The manor house and estate was spectacular. We were a little disappointed in that we booked to stay in this wonderful manor, but upon arrival we were told that our room was located in a small house on the property about 400yards from the manor house by the entrance gate. It was referred to at the "lodge" Reception staff were efficient, but not exactly friendly. The breakfast was exceptional."
