"The restaurant was closed, The pool was closed, so no real perks. The place was clean enough but dated and my bathroom was a bit janky. Otherwise it was fine."
Ramada By Wyndham Kenner/New Orleans Airport South
8/10 Good
"With an arrival scheduled past midnight, and too late to pick up a rental car, we booked this property based on the close proximity to the airport and the 24/7 on demand shuttle service.
Both were good. We did have to wait quite a while for the shuttle . . . but the delay was explained by a wonderfully friendly shuttle driver, explaining he was very low on gas and had to stop to fill up.
In the morning, the staff cheerfully insisted on driving me across the street to the rental car location, focusing on safety.
Would happily book here again, if needed."
"The staff is great. Common areas are kept clean and well lit.
However the room had some anesthetic issues.
While there was liquid soap there was no bar soap in the room.
The beds are on metal platform foundations that squeak and make noise when you sit and lay on the bed.
In my particular room (702) the toilet seat came undone on one side (the right).
The air vents have mold coming from them.
I did like that there was no carpet in the room.
I arrived on Wednesday and left on Friday and paid 49 dollars for an unsecured open parking lot in the back of the building. There is also limited and accessible parking at the front with a few spaces on the side of the building.
There is a gate that leads to doors of hotel but it is not locked. The hotel doors look like they require a room key to access the hotel from the back parking lot.
The location is right off the highway, down the street from Target, and Walmart.
It is located about 20 to 30 minutes from the airport. My calculations include getting out of the airport. Your direct route will be the 10 as advertised online.
It's an ok location but the hotel could do with good room maintenance overhaul otherwise it is what you pay for.

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham New Orleans Airport
2/10 Terrible
"Sink in bathroom was falling off the wall. Room condition old and not clean. Continental breakfast wasn't either maintained or stocked. Under sink was patched repeatedly with caulk and there was rust everywhere. Not safe area. "
"The facility was adequate. Needs updating for current technology. The TV was only connected to cable and had no capabilities for streaming. The phone had to be disconnected because of a message beep that could not be turned off. The phone was useless to contact the front desk or anything else. Physical accomodations were very clean and good. "
