"We only stayed for one night. The room was beautiful with direct access to a pool. The staff were exceptional and couldn’t do more to make sure you were comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both meals were delicious. Wish we had stayed for another night."
"This is one of my favourite places near Robertson. Beautiful setting with a little pond you can overlook from the bar. In the evening phantastic atmosphere and vwry peaceful. Also the staff very friendly and I received an excellent breakfast. Had been here before when it still was Rosendal Winery. Now new owners who have some excellent ideas how to develop the place. I really enjoyed the discussion with them. Hope to come back one day and see the further development"
"Wunderbare Unterkunft mit netter Gastgeberin in einer ganz tollen Lage.
Bereits zu Beginn erwartete uns eine Erfrischung mit zwei Gläsern Wein. Die Zimmer sind modern und geräumig gestaltet. Die Betten sind bequem. Die Klimaanlage war relativ laut, aber die schöne grüne Lage bringt auch etliches an fliegenden Getier mit sich, sodass ein Fenster-Öffnen eher schwierig ist. Man muss hier also einen Kompromiss finden.
Das Frühstück war richtig lecker und mit das beste Omelette unserer Reise. Dies...

"A warm welcome from Luc & Hilda, we were given a large, nicely decorated modern room with very comfy bed and the shower room & toilet were to the same high standard. Very nice breakfast served by Luc and his friendly team, it was autumn when we visited so it can be cool at night in South Africa, the bed’s electric blankets made them warm and cosy, the open log fire in the breakfast room was very nice in the morning and the log burner in the lounge was equally as inviting in the evening.

"We’ve stayed 3 or 4 times at Excelsior, and, as last visit, had a wonderful time.
The setting is amazing, Kirstin who runs it is lovely, very efficient and an amazing cook! James who is maitre d’, is also very personable and helpful. Both of them make sure your stay is top class.
There’s a golf buggy you can use to look round the vineyard. The wine is very good indeed, and guests get to drink it free, whether lounging round the beautiful pool or enjoying one of Kirstin’s wonderful...

"We had a fabulous stay at the farms cottage and were welcomed with complementary sourdough bread and yummy spreads. It is very nicely decorated, spacious and comes with a hot tub that is lovely at night time - I never saw so many stars before.

"Receptipn staff were friendly an the room was as described. We enjoyed the balcony. Dinner was excellent and the night's rest was comfortable and cozy.

"Very nice one night stay while travelling. Stayed in the garden room - very quiet and also has self-catering facilities. Short walk to several restaurants. We opted for a pizza nearby. Expedia shows breakfast included. This is an error - owner trying to resolve with agency. But breakfast is available at a small cost. Just ask Mike to show you his collection - stunning!"

"Amazingly peaceful stay at this beautiful grand old house filled with gorgeous and well mantained antiques. The breakfast was incredible, and we really appreciated the fresh baked gluten free bread! The service was all we could wish for and we enjoyed swimming in the pool outside under the stars. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a break from the city hustle and bustle."
"The property itself is so elegant and stylish with unimpeded views across to the mountains. The deck, pool and gardens are peaceful and full of beautiful sculptures. Our room, Room 4 was spacious, light and airy with a secluded private deck. A gorgeous place to stay within an easy walk to town with all its historic homes. But best of all were the delightful hosts, such warmth and so friendly and genuinely wanting to help in anyway and ensure you have the most comfortable stay. Great breakfast."
