"We stayed at a room with personal onsen. The tub was a bit small and it takes 15 min to fill each time, but the view and area was divine. We had a wilderness view and had a swing chair that was super comfy. The room was set up with two futons and two beds for our family of four. Overall very nice room, and they included pajamas and yukatas for all of us. They had some refreshments at the time of check in and had free seventeen ice - ice cream cones/bars throughout our stay. We were shuttled to our kaiseki dinner that included a small shabu shabu portion with wagyu beef. Breakfast was insane with the amount of options available. Oden, western, raw fish, curry, bacon, fruits, veg shot, champagne, beer, juice, grilled fish, espresso machine, dessert, omg way too much food, but all so good. We took the shuttle in and out of Gora which was on time and every 20 min. We barely missed our bus out, so we spent a few minutes at the foot baths right at the door. The views were nice there and it's a nice end to our stay."

"We had a lovely stay at Musashino Bekkan. The place felt very welcoming and the staffs are all friendly. Our experience at this ryokan is complete opposite to all the negative reviews this place gets. The place itself is slightly outdated, but that is part of the charm of this place - as if you are transported back in time. The onsens were lovely and we had a private one in ours. The meals were delicious especially the dinner course and we were able to request a kid friendly meal for our son. Wish we could stay longer and experience more this ryokan can offer. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!"

"This stay was highly incredible. We decided to treat ourselves on this stay, and it was definitely amazing. From the views, the relaxation you gain, the comfort of the bed and tatami mats, and of course the baths. The staff is also extremely attentive and kind. We loved our stay and wish we couldve stayed even longer!"

"Absolutely stunning hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and extremely attentive. They represent the hotel very well. We stayed in one of the rooms with a private onsen and the view of the mountains and the river below was wonderful, very peaceful. The room included in room dinner and breakfast service and this was such an amazing treat. Our guest assistant was excellent, she seemed to be so happy and enthusiastic to serve all the time. At one point, I had been playing with the coffee machine, trying to rescue a pod that didn't quite work and she noticed me doing this even while she was clearing up breakfast and came and made me a coffee completely on her own initiative. The food was so delicious and fresh and beautifully presented. In everything we felt thoroughly spoilt. It was a wonderful 2 night stay."
