"Great Location, Excellent Staff, Comfortable Stay I had a very pleasant stay at the Old Capitol Hotel in Sacramento. The biggest highlights were the excellent hotel staff, who were friendly, helpful, and made check-in and check-out easy. The bed was amazing very comfortable, clean, and well maintained, which made for a great night’s sleep. "The building is incredible, and a great place to stay in the city - quiet, comfortable, and very close to everything downtown. Staff were warm and friendly, the facilities were very clean, the bed was comfortable. They have a deal worked out with a lovely cafe a couple blocks away so you can get a discount on meals and drinks there. The only walkable groceries are convenience stores/bodegas, but I expected that in a city. Would highly recommend, and I'll be back anytime I need to come through...

"This is our favorite place to stay when visiting Old Sac as it is very conveniently located to a lot of things! The only downfall that is starting to have us look elsewhere for future stays is the constant increase in price for parking in the hotel parking lot! I understand the garage next to the hotel is cheaper but there’s a parking lot that’s closer and more convenient so why the $49/night fee?!"

"If you are looking for a hotel rate comfort, don’t look here. It’s booking for an experience of being on a cruise without being there. The mattress was uncomfortable, no drinking water. You have to buy a bottle. The cabins are pretty tight just like you would expect from being in a boat."

"The housekeeping was awful. There was a noticeable stain on the duvet cover and hair on top and in the sheets. Hair was also found in the shower stall. Troy was very helpful in immediately moving us to another room. That shower also had hair in it. I used the shower hand held and rinsed it out. The brown spider in the bathroom took me over. I spoke with Ryan at the desk and was told he refunded the stay. I have no confirmation or receipt of it. I will be calling them about it. "

"There was minimal staff help, we only got keys from the staff and then no one was there. no breakfast was offered, coffee and water were available. Sterling hotel was not easily found, you have to search the wedding place which was their main purpose. I won't stay there next time."

"Absolutely stunning property with tremendously spacious rooms, my room even had a large desk and a little fireplace. The bathroom had a standing shower with multiple shower heads and a full tub. There was a skylight in the bathroom that let in a lot of natural light even into the main room. Staff was really nice, but there didn't seem to be anyone immediately available when I was checking out, but not really a major concern since very detailed instructions was given prior to that.
