"The linens on the bed were clean and nice, but I had a non-smoking room and somebody had been smoking in this room. The person that checked me in came and checked it out and said she couldn’t smell anything which was something wrong with her nose, but I had to live the whole time with cigarette smell in a non-smoking room very disappointed also, the people that were next to me were constantly in arguments, and I could hear it through the walls"

"The staff. Whenever I book a room in the San Jose area I will never go to any other motel/hotel because the staff is perfect."

"Although the rooms seem to have been renovated, there are a few things that need attention. The shower head could have been replace as it looked like the original from when the hotel first opened. There was also a lack of receptacle outlets for plugging in chargers. The lamps looked dated and only had switches, no outlets or USB ports. They did not even have enough to plug the refrigerator, microwave, and coffeemaker in at the same time. They also had only one ice machine, and it was broken. It looks like there was another at one time on the second floor, but they removed it. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were more like throw pillows than sleeping pillows. The continental breakfast was not too bad, and on the plus side, it starts at 5am. I would probably stay again if the cost was low enough. "

"Alicia is amazing ! She gives the best service there at Santa Clara Marriott the other staff need better customer service but Alicia makes up for it all ! Besides that the hotel is very nice and well kept ! Room service amazing ! Housekeeping ALL amazing ! Food is good but a little pricey "

"Clean property and like that the hotel is pet friendly and does not charge a fee for your pets. Will be back."
