"Exactly as one would expect -no frills but adequate. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Service excellent. Rooms could do with upgrading as could cleanliness. Worth the money if you’re looking for a quick one night stay. Parking and charging fine. Tesco across the street a bonus."
"I really enjoyed staying here - nice room, good food, a skittles alley to play on, and really friendly, accommodating staff. The only issue was that the accommodation can be a little noisy as it faces onto the beer garden of the inn, but I don’t think that spoiled our enjoyment (just something to be aware of) "
"We only stayed for one night, but we were delighted with everything—from the clean and comfortable room to the restaurant, where the food was absolutely delicious."
"Great hotel name in an interesting town, being dominated by the National Trust property in walking distance.
Upmarket prices for food, but room rate very competative."
"This is such a lovely hotel. Really welcoming staff, comfortable, quiet room and close to shops and eating places in Chard. The breakfast was so good, cooked to order, really can't fault anything. "
