"This is such a beautiful boutique-type hotel in a well appointed building that used to be a luxury department store. Lots of cool design elements and high ceilings in bedrooms. Bed/room/bathroom all very comfortable. Hotel could use some updates and maintenance in areas. Amazing rooftop bar. I will definitely stay again!"

"We had an absolutely flawless stay at this hotel! The location in the historic Shockoe Slip neighborhood is perfect. We were able to walk to amazing local restaurants, cobblestone streets, and the beautiful James River canal walks. The hotel itself does a wonderful job of blending modern comfort with the area's historic vibe. "Toilet seat was very loose Sofa was facing the bed and TV was on side wall couldn’t view from bed and had to move sofa to watch. No tv guide for channels. Rebuilding rooms snd blame was on construction crew and Xfinity. Room wasn’t cleaned, trash not picked up no clean towels. We were told the next day you have to request a clean room, and towels a day in advance. We weren’t told till the next day. Not a Hilton standard of hotel."

"About what you’d expect for the price but in a prime way. Staff completely amazing always helpful, absolute dawgs. Typically hanging around the parking lot, nice guys to talk to. Talk about a prime location. Can’t wait to come back again. Would choose over the Ritz Carlton. I wish I could give 6 stars."

"Jeffrey was the best host. This is a beautiful property which is obviously lovingly maintained. The building is so pretty and has multiple sitting areas outside of your room (which was also great). I have dietary restrictions and Jeffrey and others made sure to have snacks for me to enjoy during the wonderful nightly happy hours and delicious options for breakfast. This area was also fun to explore and Jeffrey gave us very good pointers on where to go."
