4/10 Poor

"This stay got off to a very disappointing start. At virtually every hotel I've stayed at, if a room is available and you arrive a little early, they're happy to let you check in. We arrived about 90 minutes before check-in and were told rooms were available, but we could only access one by paying an additional fee. It felt like a nickel-and-dime approach from the moment we arrived. Overall, this was a very unusual hotel experience. There is no organized queue at the front desk, so guests simply stand around and are helped in what appears to be a random order. The process feels inefficient and unnecessarily frustrating. At check-in, you're asked to scan a QR code and agree to more than 60 terms and conditions, including acknowledgements about the risks of using everyday items such as the hair dryer, iron, and elevator. If you forget what you've agreed to, don't worry, large QR codes posted throughout the property serve as constant reminders. You'll also need to keep your room key with you at all times, as it must be scanned repeatedly throughout the resort. I understand the need for security, but having to scan your key to move between the pool, lazy river, and washrooms felt excessive and inconvenient. The rooms themselves are large and spacious, but they are not designed for a relaxing vacation experience, more for sleeping than living. There is no balcony, nowhere practical to hang wet bathing suits, and not even a dresser for unpacking your belongings."

"It was upsetting that we were booked into an accessible room because I informed them I had a walker and ground floor would be easier. I'm having hip surgery and lowered cabinets and sinks are impossible as bending over is very difficult. They did move us but not until we had already gone to the 1st room. It was exhausting having to walk to 2 separate rooms. Not a good way to start out our stay, I just wanted to leave I was so exhausted. But would still be charged as we had already checked in. Had we been informed of the accessible room prior we could have changed it before having to walk to 2 rooms. We asked to be by a pool as that was a primary reason for the stay, but were informed the kind of room booked was not in a bldg near any pools. So, we were unable to use a pool because I was unable to go the distance. The adjoining rooms doors arw so rhin we could hear conversations in the next room. NOT GOOD. Also, maids were yelling to each other in spanish and very noisy. Sleep was not possible. Not very happy. May not ever return."

Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa

"It was great to have so much space and so many rooms at that price. The furniture was clunky and outdated, but the fully equipped kitchen was great, our 14th floor balcony was huge (and the child safety latch on the balcony door was much appreciated}. One toilet was a little anemic, but otherwise everything worked well and the AC fan was wonderfully quiet. The pool with the pirate ship was really fun. And the atmosphere around the pool and the whole place was families on holiday having a good time together. The staff seemed well trained and sought to be helpful. A more serious inconvenience: everyone seemed to be having trouble getting key cards to work, at the building entrance and at the rooms. Staff cheerfully replaced them and then they would work, at least for a while. The gym was a little better equipped with machines than most hotels, but oddly there were no dumbbells."

"By far THE BEST hotel we have EVER used! Delicious food and perks, beautiful property, easy access to parks via their buses, good rate, spotless rooms, friendly and helpful staff, comfy beds, balconies on some rooms. Cannot say enough good things about this place!!!"

Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas, Lake Buena Vista/Orlando

"My only complaint is the wait times for the shuttle buses. Some days were busy and we waited almost 30 min for a shuttle but they tell you it’s supposed to be 10-15. It can be inconvenient if you have somewhere to go or a flight to catch. They should add more drivers especially on busy days. I.e. Saturdays"
