"Hotel itself & location are nice but overall service was awful. Nobody was there to help at the coffee shop, breakfast buffet was cold & tasteless. Such a waste of money would not recommend"

"This boutique hotel is a gem! Located on a smalll square in Centro it is easy to walk to many restaurants and has a ton of character. Spacious open areas give it an expansive feel. Rooms are well equipped and the included breakfast was exceptional. "

"Everyone at Casa Donceles was extremely welcoming and accommodating. The room was also very clean and larger than we expected. Not to mention it is a very short walk to some of the best historic sites in the city. We will definitely consider staying here on future trips to CDMX. "

"It’s wonderfully located in the historic center. Staff were nice and attentive and the hotel smells beautifully. Wish the king size bed was a real king size bed and not 2 joined twin beds but at least they weren’t uncomfortable but you can feel the separation. Because of convenience and location, I will absolutely stay again. "

"This hotel has ruined me for all other hotels! This boutique hotel was a peak experience for our stay in Mexico City. It is located on a lovely, quiet street, only about a 10 minute walk to the historic city center sights of the Cathedral, the Zocalo, and Templo Mayor. The surrounding streets are pulsing with foot traffic and small shops. It is not tourist territory and it feels very safe, even as night falls. The hotel itself is gorgeous architecturally."

"The hotel is in a perfect location, which made getting around very convenient and enjoyable. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, always willing to help with anything we needed. However, the rooms were very small, which made the stay a bit uncomfortable, especially for longer visits. The breakfast was also disappointing — there weren’t many good options, and I wish they offered more Mexican food to match the location and enhance the experience. Cómo siempre, la atención a los detalles hace la diferencia. La ubicación es inmejorable, suficientemente cerca del centro histórico para ir a pie, pero no tan cerca como para padecer por el bullicio de la gente. "My son and I had a wonderful week-long stay at Umbral in the Historic Center of CDMX. The property was well situated, right in the heart of the Historic Center, just blocks from the Cathedral so very convenient. Our room was spacious and very clean. The rooftop restaurant was lovely and the breakfast was delicious. The entire staff at the Umbral was so helpful and friendly - they made us feel incredibly welcome and they were very accommodating with any questions or requests we had. "
