"The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was good and filling. With tasty bread sausages and bacon. The staff were very helpful. I had to ask for help to switch the shower off as it seemed to get stuck. Unfortunately I was not able to use the pool and sauna as closed for maintenance. That had been what had attracted me to the property in the first place! Great location and easy walk to Gold Hill."

"Lovely quiet spot, great for having a drink in the garden after a day out.
Pet friendly which was great. The dog was able to stay in the room and go in the bar too which was nice. Unfortunately the room was not very clean. There was dust and cobwebs everywhere. The skirting boards hadn't been touched. The bathroom was clean but not a deep clean level as there was dust and grime around the toilet. The towels were plentiful and clean. "We loved staying in this 13th century inn.
We were given a room in the original section of the inn - amazing wattle and daub walls, original timber work and wonky floors!
The River Avon flows past the front of the Rose and Crown property.
A beautiful settling and a privilege to be able to stay here! If you love history, this is the place to stay in Salisbury."
